the city university of macau is now inviting applications for the following positions:

job description

candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the faculty program development, successful candidates will be responsible in duties includes: (i) teaching at undergraduate level; (ii) supervision and coordination of student’s professional practice or dissertations.

i. lecturer in english, teaching courses as below:

? university english

ii. lecturer in general education, teaching courses as below:

? history of western civilization

? english reading

? an introduction to english grammar

? english speaking and listening practice

job qualifications

- master degree holder in related field;

- at least 2 years’ experience of teaching courses, respectively in higher education institutions;

- excellent command of english and mandarin with the ability to communicate and present clearly and succinctly.

- macau id holder is highly preferable.

remuneration

the remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. the compensation/benefits are competitive. currently, the highest marginal personal tax rate in macao is 12%. but the effective tax rate is around 5% to 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
